Job summary

Cheak is recruiting for a founding retail team member to set standards and culture across Cheak stores. You will lead floor teams, drive brand standards, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. The role focuses on coaching, onboarding, and operating processes to ensure premium service and strong sales performance.

You will engage with local communities, support events, and contribute to the growth of Cheak’s store network with hands-on leadership and brand representation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in retail, with at least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Experience in retail leadership, supervisor, or team lead is a plus.
• Passion for fitness, wellness, movement, or an active lifestyle.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing retail team through coaching, mentorship, and real-time feedback on the floor.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
• Deliver training on brand standards, customer experience, and retail operations.
• Build a culture where the team is motivated to hit sales targets and operational goals.
• Manage shift rosters, floor coverage, and set daily priorities.
• Support onboarding for new members.
• Lead by example through professionalism and strong customer service standards.
• Deliver an exceptional in-store experience reflecting the cheak brand.
• Educate guests on product features, fabric tech, fit, colour, and styling.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally for a positive experience.
• Maintain strong floor presence and support during peak periods.
• Gather customer insights to share with the team.
• Support community-building initiatives like fitness events and brand activations.
• Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing, cashiering, stock management.
• Manage stock flow including replenishment, transfers, returns, damages, stock takes.
• Execute visual merchandising to brand standards.
• Maintain a clean, premium retail environment.
• Use in-store systems to enable smooth operations and guest experience.

Leadership & Team Development

• Resolve customer concerns professionally and ensure every guest leaves with a positive experience


• Maintain strong floor presence and support the team during peak periods


• Represent the cheak brand authentically through energy, communication, and community engagement


• Gather customer insights and feedback to share with the broader cheak team


• Support community-building initiatives including fitness events, pop-ups, workshops, and brand activations

Retail Operations

• Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cashiering, stock management, and store upkeep


• Manage stock flow including replenishment, transfers, returns, damages, and stock takes


• Execute visual merchandising to brand standards


• Support operational efficiency and execution of daily retail priorities


• Maintain a clean, organized, and premium retail environment


• Use in-store systems and retail technology to enable a smooth and efficient operations and guest experience

• 2+ years in retail, with at least 1 year of leadership experience


• Experience in retail leadership, supervisor, or team lead is a plus
