Job summary

La Casetta is seeking a Service Crew for its Italian trattoria in Singapore. You will be on the floor, welcoming guests, serving tables, supporting the pass, and keeping the room easy and looked after. The role emphasises hospitality first—friendly, alert, and personal in trattoria style.

Hours can be full-time or flexible / part-time. We welcome reliable applicants who can fit a steady roster or flex around commitments, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

La Casetta is a neighbourhood Italian trattoria. We serve simple, familiar food in a warm, smart-casual room — pasta, coffee, and easy meals that people come back for.

This store lives on regulars. Guests should feel recognised, looked after, and glad they walked in. We want people who enjoy people: sociable, vibrant, and welcoming, with the kind of presence that makes a dining room feel like a second home.

The role

You will be on the floor: welcoming guests, serving tables, supporting the pass, and keeping the room feeling easy and looked after.

This is not a heavy admin role. The work is hospitality first — friendly, alert, and personal. Service is trattoria-style: warm and unfussy, not formal.

Hours can befull-timeorflexible / part-time. We are open to people who want a steady roster, and to people who need flexi scheduling around school, another job, or other commitments — as long as you are reliable when you are on.

What you will do

Floor & hospitality

• Welcome guests and help set the tone of the room: warm, relaxed, and alert
• Take orders, serve food and drinks, and look after tables through the meal
• Make regulars feel known — remember faces, usual orders, and small preferences
• Hold an easy conversation when it fits, and give people space when it does not
• Handle seating, simple reservation checks, and guest requests with good judgement
• Keep water, bread, coffee, and tables moving without being asked

Service support

• Help set up and pack down the dining room
• Keep the floor, side station, and wash-up area tidy and service-ready
• Support the pass and run food when the room is busy
• Follow food hygiene, safety, and house procedures
• Work as part of a small team and step in where needed

Who we are looking for

• Comfortable talking to guests and making them feel at ease
• Energetic and present on the floor, without being forced or loud
• Genuinely interested in people — especially neighbourhood regulars
• Reliable: if you are rostered, you show up ready

No long F&B CV required if the personality is right.

Good to have

• Familiarity with Italian dishes and names, or comfort saying them clearly
• Barista experience, or confidence making coffee
• Previous cafe, restaurant, or hotel service experience
• Charisma — the kind of person guests remember and ask for
• Sharp and alert on the floor: sees an empty glass, a waiting table, or a guest who needs something before they ask
• Ability to build regulars and bring people back
• Conversational Italian, or an interest in Italian food
• A local network, or the confidence to become a familiar face in the neighbourhood
• Wine curiosity, even at a basic level
