Job summary

Job description

The Assistant Manager, Resource Development plays a key role in advancing the organisation’s fundraising and partnership objectives through the development and management of corporate partnerships, digital fundraising campaigns, and donor engagement initiatives. The incumbent supports the cultivation and stewardship of foundations, major gift donors, and recurring donors, while contributing to the successful execution of fundraising events. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, the role is responsible for strengthening donor relationships, securing sustainable funding support, and ensuring effective stewardship, reporting, and achievement of fundraising goals.

Fundraising Partnerships & Campaigns
  • Identify, cultivate, and acquire new donors, such as corporate partners and foundations who align with our mission and goals, through targeted research, networking events, and engagement in CSR-related initiatives.
  • Identify and develop fundraising opportunities and funding proposals to support the donor journey and organisational fundraising goals.
  • Prepare funding proposals, decks, and reports, ensuring professionalism, accuracy, alignment with Habitat Singapore’s messaging, and adhering to charity’s governance and compliance.
  • Develop and implement donor engagement plans, ensuring timely communication, recognition, and stewardship to enhance the donor experience, increase donor retention rate and increase value proposition.
  • Develop digital fundraising campaigns to diversify revenue streams.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, particularly Programmes, Marketing & Communications and Volunteer Management, to drive awareness and support for fundraising initiatives.
Support Fundraising Events & Individual Donors Cultivation
  • Support key fundraising events and other donor engagement activities.
  • Support cultivation and stewardship efforts for major donors, high-net-worth individuals or recurring donors.
  • Analyse post-event performance, donor participation, and fundraising outcomes to refine future strategies.
Administrative:
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely donor, partnership, and fundraising records in CRM and related systems, ensuring data integrity, traceability, and readiness for reporting and audit.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data capture, and strengthen evidence-informed stewardship and partnership practices.
  • Research donor trends and giving behaviours to inform targeted fundraising initiatives.
A successful candidate would be :
  • A tertiary graduate with a minimum of 5 years of sales and marketing, business development or relationship management. Experience in fundraising, events management and corporate partnerships in the non-profit sector would be advantageous.
  • Diploma with experience relating to fundraising, donor development, in the non-profit sector can be considered.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to pursue new opportunities.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and resilient, with the ability to use data and insights to guide strategic actions and optimise outcomes.
  • Passionate about building partnerships that create meaningful social impact.
  • Ability to guide and motivate team members, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and colleagues.
  • Adaptable team player, able to work independently and collaboratively across functions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) and Customer Relationship Management/ CRM software; resourceful in search engines.
