Qualifications

• Diploma holder with technical background in civil/structural/geotechnical disciplines.
• Accreditation by IES/ACES is required.
• BCSS certification is mandatory.
• StS certificate required for supervisory role in structural steel.
• At least 8 years of relevant RTO experience; 5+ years in similar complexity supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site activities using statutory codes to ensure quality control and construction administration standards.
• Maintain accurate site records documenting progress for project tracking.
• Identify, resolve, and manage site issues to minimize delays and maintain team collaboration.
• Oversee works involving large span structural steel and precast components for safety and quality.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to stakeholders communicating project status and challenges.

Education

Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical discipline

Accreditation from the Joint Accreditation Committee of IES and ACES

BCSS certificate

Structural Steel Supervisor (StS) certificate

Minimum 8 years of relevant RTO experience, including at least 5 years supervising works of similar complexity
