Job summary

Asta Ventures is seeking a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) for Civil, Structural and Geotechnical supervision in Singapore. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant RTO experience, including supervision of complex projects such as buildings, tunnels, deep excavations and foundations.

Diploma in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical is required; accreditation by IES/ACES and BCSS certification are essential. Flexibility for shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as an RTO.
• Experience supervising complex construction projects (buildings, tunnels, deep excavations, foundations).
• Proficient in installing monitoring instruments and collating monitoring data.
• Accredited by IES and ACES.
• BCSS safety certification is required.
• Knowledge of codes, site supervision, QC procedures, and progress reporting.
• Competent in maintaining accurate site records and proactive in resolving issues.

Resident Technical Officer (RTO - Civil & Structural/Geotechnical)

• a.Experience:A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an RTO, with at least 5 years in supervising works of similar complexity. This includes major construction projects involving buildings, tunnels, deep excavations, and foundations, as well as tasks such as installing monitoring instruments and collating monitoring data.
• b.Qualifications:Possess a Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical disciplines from a recognized Polytechnic or equivalent institution.
• c.Accreditation:Accredited by the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).
• d.Safety Certification:Hold a valid certificate in the Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course.
• e.Technical Knowledge:Be conversant with statutory codes and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration, and the submission of progress reports.
• f.Record-Keeping:Demonstrate competence in maintaining accurate and updated site records of work progress.
• g.Problem-Solving:Be proactive in resolving and managing site issues while fostering a positive team spirit.
• h.Flexibility:Must be willing to work in shifts.
