Job summary

Elanta Engineering & Construction in Singapore is seeking a Site Supervisor to work under a Qualified Person (QP) to ensure structural works comply with approved drawings and specifications, supporting the Resident Engineer and liaising with contractors to drive quality and progress on site.

You will collaborate with Main Contractors’ Engineers, supervise road and structural works, review inspection forms, and verify adherence to method statements and contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering or NCSS is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Qualified Person to supervise structural works and support the Resident Engineer.
• Coordinate inspections with Main Contractors’ Engineers and Supervisors to resolve site issues.
• Oversee all structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and project requirements.
• Monitor progress and conduct detailed structural inspections to verify adherence to contract drawings, specs and shop drawings.
• Review and validate inspection forms submitted by Main Contractor Engineers/Supervisors, maintaining accurate records.
• Verify that works follow approved method statements and contractual obligations, reporting deviations promptly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Qualified Person to execute supervision duties and take full responsibility under their direction
• Liaise effectively with Main Contractors’ Engineers and Supervisors to coordinate inspections and resolve site issues
• Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing all structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and project requirements
• Monitor progress and conduct detailed structural inspections to verify adherence to contract drawings, specifications, and approved shop drawings
• Review and validate inspection forms submitted by Main Contractor Engineers/Supervisors, maintaining accurate and organized records
• Verify that structural works follow approved method statements and contractual obligations, identifying and reporting deviations promptly

Required competencies and certifications

• Registration with the Registry of Training Organisations(RTO) under the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) is mandatory
• Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering discipline or National Certificate of Site Supervision (NCSS)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in site supervision of construction works
• At least 2 years’ experience supervising road and structural works
