Job summary

18 STEPS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Civil/Structural Engineer to lead and supervise on-site works, review drawings, and ensure compliance with authority requirements and safety standards.

You will conduct site inspections, manage instrumentation monitoring, coordinate with contractors and authorities, and prepare analytical reports and presentations for project success.

Qualifications

• Accreditation as a Registered Technical Officer (RTO) by IES and/or ACES.
• Minimum five (5) years of engineering experience in relevant civil and structural works.

Responsibilities

• Review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Provide endorsements required by authorities to facilitate approvals.
• Supervise civil and structural works to ensure quality and safety.
• Verify contractors have obtained all necessary permits and clearances before work commencement.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures.
• Review formwork structures and formwork support systems for safety and compliance.
• Oversee safety, environmental, and health matters on site to maintain regulatory standards.
• Supervise installation of instrumentation to ensure proper setup and functionality.
• Supervise sanitary and plumbing installations, including pump drainage works.
• Review monitoring of instrumentation and interpret results to provide analytical reports and presentations.
• Review Contractor's design and supervise related works for adherence to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Provide all relevant endorsements required by the relevant authorities to facilitate approvals
• Supervise all civil and structural works, both permanent and temporary, to ensure quality and safety
• Verify that contractors have obtained all necessary permits and clearances before work commencement
• Conduct site inspections to ensure contractors implement corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures protecting surrounding structures
• Review, evaluate, and assess all formwork structures and formwork support systems for safety and compliance
• Oversee safety, environmental, and health matters on site to maintain regulatory standards
• Supervise the installation of instrumentation to ensure proper setup and functionality
• Supervise sanitary and plumbing installations, including pump drainage works, to ensure proper execution
• Review, evaluate, and assess the monitoring of instrumentation and interpret results to provide analytical reports and presentations

Required competencies and certifications

• Accreditation as a Registered Technical Officer (RTO) by the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) and/or Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES)
• Minimum five (5) years of engineering experience in relevant civil and structural works
