Job summary

KHOO TECK PUAT HOSPITAL PTE. LTD. seeks a Resident Physician to manage patients under supervision, coordinate with healthcare teams, and participate in on-call and clinical duties.

The role includes supervising junior doctors, outpatient clinics, and attending operating sessions to support patient care. The candidate should hold a basic or postgraduate medical qualification listed by the Singapore Medical Council and be registered to practise.

Qualifications

• Basic or postgraduate medical qualification from universities listed in the Schedules of the Singapore Medical Council.
• Registered as a medical doctor in the country of conferment and latest place of practice.
• At least 3 years of post-housemanship working experience as a medical officer (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline.
• If the basic medical qualification is not conducted in English, provide evidence of English proficiency meeting SMC standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical consultations under supervision of senior doctors and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Handle on-call and stay-in night duties as required.
• Manage outpatient clinics and oversee patient flow.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors as part of the team.
• Attend operating sessions and assist in surgical duties as needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job description

As a Resident Physician, you will be responsible for the total management of patients under the supervision of senior doctors and incollaboration with other healthcare professionals. Your duties include providing medical consultations, on-call/stay-in night duties, managing outpatient clinics, supervising junior doctors, attending operating sessions and any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

• Possess a basic or postgraduate medical qualification from one the Universities/Medical Institutions listed in the Schedules of the Singapore Medical Council;
• Registered as a medical doctor in the country of conferment of medical qualification and last place(s) of practise;
• Possess at least 3 years of post housemanship working experience as a medical officer (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline;
• Remain in active clinical practise for the immediate past 3 years;
• Candidate whose basic medical qualification is not conducted in the English language must provide evidence of English Proficiency and meet the acceptable score specified by the Singapore Medical Council
