Job summary

R.J. Crocker Consultants Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced M&E on-site supervisor to oversee civil and M&E works, ensuring quality and safety on a major project.

The role requires exposure to deep excavation, drainage, and pavement works, with coordination across design, safety, and client teams. Candidate must hold an M&E degree recognized by PEB and be accredited as a Registered Engineer (IES). Shift work and site-based duties are expected, with responsibility for RTOS and on-site

Qualifications

• Min 8 years of M&E experience including 3 years in major construction works: deep excavation, drainage, pipe jacking, ground improvement.
• Degree in M&E recognized by PEB.
• Accredited as a RE with IES.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Contractor delivers high-quality work while maintaining safety per statutory requirements.
• Attend all project meetings including site, progress, variation, coordination, QAQC, etc.
• Provide ongoing supervision for civil and structural works ensuring compliance with project specs and Building Control Act/regulations.
• Supervise M&E works: concreting, drainage, compaction, curing, formwork, and precast/steel erection.
• Manage and supervise Resident Technical Officers under his charge.
• Coordinate with safety team and oversee WASH and aerodrome safety management on site.
• Ensure works do not impact client operations; adhere to emergency protocols during trials or emergencies.
• Verify reports/claims related to M&E works from contractors and main contractors; report non-conformities.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the Contractor is delivering high-quality work and maintaining good safety practices in accordance with statutory requirements.


• Attend all meetings related to the project including site, progress, variation, coordination, QAQC etc..


• Provide ongoing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works as needed, ensuring compliance with the project specifications, construction drawings, and the Building Control Act and Regulations.


• Carry out supervision and inspection M&E works including but not limited to concreting, pavement, drainage, compaction, curing of concrete, formwork, re-props and removal of props, quality & erection of precast components and steel works.


• Manage and supervise the Resident Technical Officers under his charge.


• Coordinate with safety team and provide overview of WASH and aerodrome safety management systems and implementation of safe working practices on site.


• Ensure all construction works will not impact or affect the operations of the client.


• Ensure client’s emergency preparedness protocols are adhered to by the contractors during trial runs or actual emergencies.


• Verify all reports and claims relating to M&E works submitted by the contractors.


• Inspect the quality of work and materials delivered to the site, take corrective actions for any non-compliance, and report any materials that do not conform to the specifications to the OIC.


• Verify reports and claims submitted by the main contractors and other ancillary contractors.


• Resolve main contractors’ queries and coordinate the works onsite.


• Adhere to the shift duty roster assigned.


• Undertake any other duties including administrative tasks related to the project as and when instructed by the SRE, OIC, or the Client.

Requirements:

• Min 8 years of M&E experience of which 3 years of experience in major construction works deep excavation, drainage, pipe jacking, ground improvement, flexible/rigid aircraft pavement, supervising & installation of monitoring instruments and collating of monitoring data.


• Degree in M&E recognized by PEB.


• Accredited as a RE with IES


• Able to perform shift work.
