Job summary

JBUILD CONSULTING ENGINEERS is seeking a Resident Engineer to supervise MRT infrastructure works in Singapore, including deep excavation and basement aspects. The candidate should hold a recognised Civil/Structural Engineering degree and be accredited with IES and/or ACES, with at least three years of relevant MRT or rail project experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Accredited and registered with IES and/or ACES, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in supervising deep excavation and/or basement works.
• Prior MRT/rail project experience will be an added advantage.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with approved specifications, codes of practice, authority requirements and applicable standards.
• Supervise all site works to meet contractual obligations.
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Senior Resident Engineer (SRE)/Qualified Person (QP).
• Supervise and ensure strict quality control.
• Review technical documents.
• Keep records of all site activities and prepare daily reports.
• Monitor and report progress of the works on site; manage a team of RTOs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise civil works on MRT sites to ensure compliance with project specs and safety standards.
• Coordinate with design teams, site personnel and clients to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare and submit daily site reports and progress updates.
• Ensure quality control procedures are followed and documentation is accurate.
• Lead and develop the RTO team to meet project targets.
• Monitor excavation and basement works for safety and compliance.
• Review plans and shop drawings for consistency with field conditions.

Job Requirements
