A leading company in Singapore is seeking a Resident Architect with extensive experience in architecture and construction supervision for LTA projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with local building regulations and overseeing all site activities. Candidates should possess strong leadership and project management skills and be ready to work on rotational shifts.
Job Description:
• Minimum 8 years of architectural experience with a recognised diploma in the relevant field, and at least 5 years of experience in construction supervision for projects of similar scale and complexity in the local context.
• Serve as Resident Architect on LTA projects, assisting and reporting to RE and SRE to monitor all site activities and incidents, including near-misses. Report any non-compliance to RE and Qualified Person Supervision (QPS).
• Assist engineers in supervising related works, including but not limited to replacement and extension, construction and reconfiguration of viaduct/bridge works, civil works, proposed new flexible pavement and infrastructure, re-alignment of roadways, fencing, and construction.
• Possess good knowledge of and be well-versed in Singapore building regulations and codes, as well as design development and detailing.
• Supervise all construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans/drawings, risk assessments, and specifications.
• Willing to work on rotation shifts.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies.
• Ensure contractors and subcontractors adhere to safety requirements and follow safety checklists.
• Capable of leading a team and managing projects independently without supervision.
• Assist RE in managing and maintaining records and documentation of field or site changes and monitor adherence to construction schedules.
• The Resident Architect shall be dedicated full-time on-site for no less than 6 months before BSC until CWW is obtained.
• Conduct standing supervision for critical site activities.
• Preferably PR and Singaporean.
