Job summary

NTU Singapore's Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) invites applications for a senior engineer to drive research projects in additive manufacturing. You will oversee milestones, coordinate experiments, and collaborate with industry partners to translate findings into impactful solutions for biomedical, construction, aerospace and marine applications.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, materials or manufacturing engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical, materials or manufacturing engineering or related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in engineering research / additive manufacturing.
• Experience with microstructural characterization and mechanical testing.
• Familiarity with metallography and EBSD.
• Proficiency in laser directed energy deposition additive manufacturing.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Job description

The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) is a research centre conducting fundamental and applied research in all aspects related to additive manufacturing. Job Requirements:

• Bachelor qualification degree in mechanical, materials or manufacturing engineering or related field

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in engineering research / technical hands-on experience in additive manufacturing or related field

• Proficiency in experimental skills in microstructural characterization, including metallograph and EBSD.

• Proficiency in experimental skills in mechanical testing, such as hardness testing.

• Demonstrated experience in laser directed energy deposition additive manufacturing.

• Knowledge of the relationship between microstructures and mechanical properties of metallic materials.

• Good written and oral communication skills
