Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Research Scientist Graduate (Business Integrity) for a 2027 start. You will join a team exploring large language models, multimodal generation, and agentic AI to tackle complex challenges in global business with cutting-edge AI technologies.

Successful candidates will contribute to research published at top conferences and push toward production integration. We value strong foundations in ML, RL, and AI safety, with opportunities to publish and collaborate across disciplines

Qualifications

• PhD completed or near completion in CS/AI/Statistics or related field.
• Strong foundation in NLP, computer vision, RL, or fundamentals of ML.
• Publications in top AI conferences/journals (NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR/ACL/CVPR/ICCV).
• Solid math and prototype skills; able to turn ideas into experiments using PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on foundation models and generative technologies for agentic AI.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for next-gen AIGC and agent systems.
• Explore agentic RL, long-horizon planning, memory, knowledge injection, and multimodal alignment.
• Translate research into production insights and drive two-way production readiness.
