A Research Officer position is available at the Stem Cells and Diabetes Laboratory of A*STAR RESEARCH ENTITIES. Applicants should have an excellent biology degree, practical experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology, and good communication skills to work in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Excellent degree in Biological Science and Life Science disciplines or equivalent
• Deep commitment and interest in research, demonstrated from previous research experience
• Minimum 6 months prior research experience in the Biomedical field
• Experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques
• Experience with animal work and surgical techniques
• Experience with mammalian stem cell work will be valued
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated, passion for science, committed to laboratory work and able to work flexible hours
• Ability to multitask, work independently and also as part of a team
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
• Experience in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation techniques, RNA-seq, Mass Spectrometry and bioinformatics will be valued

Dr Adrian Teo’s laboratory is interested in leveraging on stem cell technology to study mechanisms underlying diabetes and metabolic diseases.
