Job summary

National Heart Centre of Singapore invites applicants for a Research Officer/Associate (NHCS/RO/RA/JY) to support population‑based and clinical research through high‑quality data management, governance, and research operations. Qualifications

• Degree or Master in Life Sciences, Data Science, Health Science, Biomedical Science/Engineering, Public Health, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of research governance, data-sharing agreements, and ethics frameworks is an advantage; mandatory for senior role.
• Experience in research data management, clinical data, or cohort studies is preferred; senior role will require more demonstrated experience in these areas.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, programming, and machine learning using R, Python, and SQL, with familiarity in efficient data processing and large‑scale data lake technologies such as Apache Arrow and Apache Iceberg.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong communication skills including business writing and documentation.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and perform duties outside standard working hours when necessary.
• Documented proof of: (i) Measles (or MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and (ii) Tdap vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act. Applicants without these vaccinations may apply if they commit to completing the required vaccination(s) before work commencement, upon successful job offer.
