Job summary

Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) invites a data analytics professional to drive research impact metrics, AI-driven automation, and advanced dashboards. You will coordinate with IT, research systems, and communications to enhance visibility and performance across NTU’s medical school framework.

The role focuses on building scalable reporting using Power BI/Tableau, analysing grants, and delivering management reports while engaging diverse stakeholders for strategic insights.

Qualifications

• Any Bachelor Degree / Diploma
• Some background or experience in data analytics / academic / healthcare industry / research communications would be preferred.
• More than 5 years of experience in data analytics, designing infographics, creating professional and attractive powerpoint slides for management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially MS Excel, MS Powerpoint
• Meticulous and good at designing dashboards, data visualizations, infographics
• Self-starter and ability to explore and evaluate new impact metrics with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Positive attitude, able to multi-task, and work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Resourceful, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to develop new ideas and provide conceptual solutions
• Added advantage if candidate has some knowledge in Programming, R, Python, RPA or related languages

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Altmetrics to capture non-traditional research impact metrics and societal engagement
• Establish systematic frameworks to monitor, analyse, and report research impact metrics, incorporating AI-enabled analytics
• Compute and deliver reports on grant income of the School, incorporating automations
• Perform multi-level data analyses related to research grants, including external grant return ratios at the school, programme, and individual faculty levels
• Design and implement AI-driven automation solutions to streamline data extraction, integration, validation, and reporting processes
• Consolidate, clean, and harmonise data from various sources to ensure consistency
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualisations (Power BI, Tableau, programming or similar tools)
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen data infrastructure and real-time tracking of research impact
• Track and analyse metrics contributing to university rankings and identify improvement opportunities
• Build and maintain relationships with faculty to identify high-impact publications for publicity platforms
• Organise and support events that enhance research impact and visibility
• Work with Communications to profile achievements of research faculty
• Coordinate and deliver the school’s annual publication on research impact and achievements
• Track, collate, and synthesize updates from faculty and the wider research community
• Assist in preparing the Dean’s Management Report for Governing Board and Board of Trustees
• Organise and support internal team and research programme meetings
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required
