Job summary

NTU's School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering invites a Research Fellow to advance perception and embodied intelligence. You will tackle learning from human demonstrations for robot manipulation in household and industrial settings, building foundation models and LfD frameworks.

Applicants should hold a PhD and have strong publication records, expertise in robotic manipulation, and proficiency in ROS and Python, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• PhD in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of research experience in related area.
• Expertise in robotic manipulation systems.
• Knowledge in robotic foundation models.
• Publication track record is an advantage.
• Proficiency in ROS and Python programming.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop robotic foundation models for general manipulation based on vision-language-action models.
• Develop learning from human demonstration (LfD) framework for vision-language-action models.
• Develop multi-embodiment retargeting framework with safety constraints.
• Develop a mobile bimanual manipulation system to complete diverse tasks in household environment and in manufacturing deployment scenarios.
