NTU Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) invites a Research Fellow to design and develop advanced power electronics systems for flow-based energy storage. The role includes laboratory testing, documentation, and guiding a research team through translation to practical engineering solutions.

PhD in power electronics and 5+ years of R&D experience are required, with hands-on work on >10 kW systems, SiC devices, and embedded C/C++ programming for DSPs/FPGA implementations.

Qualifications

• PhD in power electronics or related field is required.
• At least 5 years of R&D experience in high-power, high-efficiency power electronics.
• Hands-on experience with high-power (>10 kW) electronics and development processes.
• Knowledge of energy storage, flow-based systems, and BMS/EMS concepts.
• Experience with SiC devices and gate-driver circuits.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced power electronics systems for flow-based energy storage.
• Develop test plans and conduct laboratory testing to verify performance.
• Prepare technical documentation including design/test reports and source code.
• Support technology translation to practical engineering solutions and products.
• Manage and lead the research team, plan tasks, and coordinate stakeholders.
• Report progress to the PI and funding agency.
