We are looking for a Research Fellow to conduct interdisciplinary research at the interface of microfabrication, functional soft materials, and bioactive delivery systems. The role will focus on developing micro/nanostructured material platforms for controlled release, biological screening, microbial culture, and food or biomedical applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent and collaborative research aligned with the objectives of the project and laboratory.
  • Design and perform experiments, analyze data, and interpret research findings.
  • Prepare manuscripts, reports, presentations, and other research outputs.
  • Contribute to grant proposal preparation and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with researchers, students, and external partners.
  • Mentor and support junior researchers and students.
  • Maintain accurate research records and ensure compliance with laboratory, safety, and institutional requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, ethical, regulatory, and institution guidelines.
Job Requirements
  • Education qualifications: The candidate should have a PhD degree in a relevant discipline - Micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) development.
  • Soft skills: The candidate should have strong communication skills, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a research team.
  • Hard skills: The candidate should be able to conduct research, analyze data, interpret results, and prepare research outputs such as reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
  • Experience: The candidate should have relevant research experience through doctoral training or equivalent research activities.
  • Experience in manuscript preparation, research presentation, or collaborative research would be an advantage.
  • Competencies: The candidate should be self-motivated, responsible, and capable of contributing to research projects, publications, project deliverables, and compliance with institutional and research guidelines.
