Job summary

NTU Singapore's School of Civil and Environmental Engineering is seeking a Research Fellow to curate and integrate geotechnical, geological, and geophysical datasets, and to develop 3D models for near-surface formations. The role focuses on advancing geophysical imaging methods and requires strong research output.

The successful candidate will publish in top journals, assist in grant proposals, and mentor both undergraduate and graduate students as part of a growing program at NTU.

Qualifications

• PhD in geotechnics, geophysics, or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in geological modeling.
• Familiarity with related literature and software.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop novel 3D modeling algorithms for near-surface characterization using curated geo-data.
• Contribute to the development of intelligent geophysical imaging algorithms.
• Publish high-impact research articles in leading international journals.
• Assist in the preparation and development of competitive research proposals.
• Support the supervision and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.
