Job summary

IMDA, Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority, seeks a Research Engineer for the Advanced Intelligence Software Systems division to advance safe, secure and trustworthy AI and embodied systems. You will conduct hands-on research, design experiments and translate findings into practical guidance for technology development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong foundation in computer systems with hands-on experience building, testing or analysing technical systems.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles including identity access management and threat modelling.
• Able to conduct research on ill-defined problems, develop hypotheses, design experiments and prototypes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to communicate complex ideas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on research into safety, security and trustworthiness of robotics and embodied AI systems.
• Design and develop proofs of concept, experiments and tools to investigate risks and mitigations.
• Translate findings into technical guidance, test methods and tools for product and policy work.
• Support cybersecurity governance of internal products and define security requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Conduct or support security assessments and threat modelling with cybersecurity specialists.
• Communicate research results through technical papers, articles, presentations and demonstrations.
