NTU is seeking a Research Engineer I to join the Digital ATCO Assistant project, focusing on developing intelligent AI-enabled applications for air traffic management by integrating LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, AI agents, operational data, and user-facing components.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in CS/AI/SE/IS or related field.
• At least 1 year of software engineering, systems integration, AI application development, or enterprise technology delivery.
• Strong Python, backend, APIs, databases, and system integration skills.
• Experience with LLM applications, RAG, AI agents, or orchestration workflows.
• Ability to develop reliable end-to-end prototypes and work in multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least one year of relevant experience in software engineering, systems integration, AI application development, or enterprise technology delivery.
• Strong experience with Python, backend development, APIs, databases, and system integration.
• Experience developing or integrating LLM applications, RAG systems, AI agents, or agent orchestration workflows.
• Ability to develop reliable end-to-end prototypes rather than standalone AI models.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience or interest in aviation, air traffic management, human-AI teaming, or safety-critical AI applications is an advantage.
