Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking a curious and motivated Research Engineer to join our client in Singapore and Hong Kong on a 12-month extendable contract to advance large-scale AI research. You will design algorithms and build tools across modalities, enabling impactful applications in real-world settings.

Role requires 0–4 years in LLMs or data research, with a strong background in deep learning, AI, and DL.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of experience in LLMs, foundation models, or data research.
• Background in deep learning, computer vision, or AI with a related degree.
• Hands-on experience with Python, C/C++, or Rust, and PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Design new algorithms, develop innovative functionalities, shape the architectures behind large-scale foundation models
• Contribute to publications, collaborations, and the advancement of AI across modalities
• Collaborate across teams to implement advanced AI systems on cloud platforms
• Build and optimize research tools, algorithms, and infrastructure
• Support the team’s efforts in turning research into impactful outcomes
• Play a key role in defining and executing system implementation roadmaps
