Job summary

JAC RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a data scientist to analyse structured datasets, run EDA, and build predictive models. You will design AI agents using LLM-based frameworks to automate research workflows and integrate with data pipelines and databases.

The role requires strong Python skills, experience with Pandas/NumPy/Scikit-learn, and the ability to communicate complex insights to researchers and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in a quantitative field such as CS, DS, maths, stats or engineering.
• Fresh graduates encouraged; internships or projects are a plus.
• Strong Python and data-science library experience required.
• Experience with data preparation, feature engineering, and modeling.
• Solid foundation in statistics, ML, linear algebra, calculus, optimization.

Responsibilities

• Analyse structured datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights.
• Conduct EDA, statistical testing, and model validation for quality results.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyse structured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support research and business decisions.


• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), statistical testing, and model validation to ensure data quality and reliable outcomes.


• Develop and apply predictive and mathematical models, including regression, classification, and time series forecasting.


• Design, build, and evaluate AI agents using LLM-based frameworks to automate research workflows and interact with databases, data pipelines, and predictive models.


• Assess AI agent performance across task completion, reasoning quality, tool usage accuracy, and reliability.


• Develop clean, well-documented Python code for data processing, feature engineering, machine learning, and visualisation.


• Query, transform, and manage structured data using SQL and data science tools such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and data visualisation libraries.


• Contribute to shared codebases, version control practices, reproducible data pipelines, and experiment tracking frameworks.


• Collaborate with researchers and stakeholders to deliver projects, communicate technical findings, and present insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.


• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant internships, research projects, competitions, or open‑source contributions are advantageous.


• Strong Python programming skills with experience in data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, SciPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.


• Hands‑on experience in data preparation, feature engineering, outlier detection, missing data handling, and model development.


• Solid foundation in statistics, machine learning, linear algebra, calculus, optimisation, and predictive modelling techniques.


• Knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, generative AI, and LLM‑based applications or agent frameworks.


• Experience working with SQL, relational databases, and structured datasets.


• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
