Job summary

Nanyang Technological University invites applications for a Research Associate on a 12-month contract in the Psychology and Child & Human Development Department (National Institute of Education).

The project, Building Human Capacity in Singapore's Population: A National Longitudinal Study of Child and Maternal Well-being, investigates the role of parents in children's transition from preschool to primary school.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from a reputable institution specialising in psychology or a related field.
• Good knowledge of child development theories and research.
• Prior experience with working with parents and children is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to liaise with families and preschools, and lead a team of student assistants.

Responsibilities

• Carry out participant recruitment for the project.
• Manage the data collection schedule for the research team.
• Participate in the training of student research assistants.
• Carry out fieldwork, data coding, and analysis.
• Participate in manuscript preparation and dissemination of study findings.
• Other responsibilities related to project management.
