Job summary

The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) at NTU invites applications for a Research Associate to advance additive manufacturing, computational design, biomaterials, and biomedical engineering.

You will design, fabricate, and validate 3D printed structures and biomedical devices, including porous scaffolds and patient-specific solutions.

The role involves collaboration with academic and industrial partners to push translational biomedical engineering and publish findings in leading journals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in additive manufacturing and computational design.
• Experience in biomaterials or tissue engineering is desirable.
• Experience with materials characterization and mechanical testing.
• Proficiency in CAD, modelling, and data-driven optimization is preferred.
• Strong publication record and excellent written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research in additive manufacturing and biomaterials.
• Design and optimize 3D printed structures using CAD and AI-assisted methods.
• Develop and characterize bioactive materials for tissue engineering applications.
• Plan and perform additive manufacturing experiments and analyses.
• Prepare technical reports, journal papers, and presentations.
• Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and industrial partners.
