Job summary

Duke-NUS Medical School's Signature Research Programme in Emerging Infectious Diseases invites applications for a full-time Research Assistant in the Ho Laboratory led by Jessica S. Ho.

The role focuses on studying Influenza A biology and pathogenesis, performing planning, organization and execution of research under supervision, and supporting data analysis, literature reviews, and lab upkeep within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics or related field.
• Experience with cell culture, biochemistry, and molecular biology techniques.
• Experience with animal work (rodents) and RCULA certification would be advantageous.
• Basic routine laboratory skills and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and conduct research within the project scope under supervision.
• Monitor, document and report experimental results and findings.
• Assist with data analysis and literature reviews across projects.
• Maintain laboratory needs, safety protocols and provide technical support.
• Perform other duties incidental to the work described.
