Job summary

National Institute of Education invites applications for a Research Assistant on a 9-month contract for the DREAMS SG-LCS Phase 1B project. The role involves liaising with schools, data collection, data management, and statistical analysis under supervision.

The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field, be familiar with Singapore’s education system, and proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Experience with SPSS/R/Stata/Mplus is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
• Familiar with Singapore education system (mainstream / SEN).
• Familiar with survey data collection and management.
• Able to perform statistical analysis (e.g., factor analysis, regression).
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with participating schools/parents/teachers and other researchers.
• Prepare for and implement data collection.
• Maintain records and document research progress.
• Assist with data preparation, entry and analysis.
• Assist in administration and management of project matters.
• Assist in writing reports and papers for publication.
• Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings.
• Learn and perform statistical analysis independently.
• Assist in Grant writing and IRB submissions.
