Job summary

Shopee Singapore Private Limited is seeking a Research Analyst to join the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team in Singapore. You will conduct industry research, collect data from multiple sources, and translate findings into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

You will work independently and as part of a team, with strong emphasis on clear reporting, knowledge management, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or has completed a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a reputable university; expected graduation by Dec 2026 and able to join by Jan 2027.
• Candidates pursuing a Master’s Degree or above should be able to join full-time by Jan 2027; Master’s is advantageous but not required.
• Prior experience in equity research, asset management, strategy consulting research, or in-house corporate development and strategy, internship or full-time.
• Experience in the consumer internet sector is a plus.
• Excellent research, data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly driven and hard-working self-starter, focused on delivering high quality results with efficiency and speed.
• Genuine passion for continual self-development in a dynamic company

The Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team plays a critical role in conducting close-loop data-driven business iterations. About the Team:

The role sits within the wider Regional BI & Planning team. Our focus is on providing insights and analyses to support the leadership team in making sound decisions to develop our businesses – e-commerce and digital finance. We collaborate closely with Regional and Local teams on a variety of topics to achieve our mandate.

As a Research Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing data-driven insights in support of the team’s mandate.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or has completed a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a reputable university with strong academic credentials. Candidates who are currently pursuing their Bachelor’s Degree should be expected to graduate by Dec 2026, and all candidates must be able to join us by Jan 2027.
• Candidates who meet the above requirements and are currently pursuing a Master’s Degree or above must be able to join us on a full-time basis by Jan 2027. A Master’s Degree or above is advantageous but not required.
