Overview

Schindler Lifts (S) Pte Ltd was established in 1975 to market Schindler lifts and escalators and provide after‑sales maintenance services across the globe. We are looking for a Repair Engineer to support our repair sales force, manage repair works, and lead technical activities.
Responsibilities
- Support the Repair sales force in discussions with customers to explore elevator repair opportunities from a technical viewpoint.
- Actively manage, develop, motivate, coach, and coordinate direct activities of the workgroups to deliver Schindler's objectives (client satisfaction, quality, productivity, efficiency).
- Optimize team staffing by planning personnel needs, workloads, and training for effective deployment and cost control.
- Lead and provide technical support to internal staff (service, project, sales, and subcontractors) to optimize workgroups and tools, ensuring timely and quality completion of contractual obligations.
- Manage repair works, including complex repair, part replacement, and supervision of subcontractor works.
- Perform administrative processes such as generating reports, completing test reports, generating defect lists, and preparing service reports for client inspection.
- Perform technical assessment for repair technicians and execute leadership to ensure customer and employee satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits and checks to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and technical requirements.
- Supervise milestone achievement, initiate corrective actions in coordination with repair works, and conduct safety walks and inspections.
- Analyse root causes for deviations, set up corrective actions for non‑conformities, and ensure compliance with industry safety standards.
- Cooperate with Notified Bodies for official inspections and work orders, ensuring all work processes meet quality and environmental procedures.
- Ensure adherence to the code of conduct and mandatory regulations.
- Perform night/weekend works across the island as required.
- Address ad‑hoc assignments such as technical support, training, and assessments.
