Job summary

Binance is seeking a senior data engineer to build the core data foundation for stock and financial market data. You will own end-to-end pipelines, from source ingestion to unified modeling and real-time processing, enabling trading products and AI applications.

You will collaborate with product, data platform, and engineering teams to ensure data quality, governance, and scalable architectures across multiple markets, currencies, and time zones.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data development, big data, or data platforms.
• Proficient in SQL and Flink with real-time data processing and governance.
• Proficient in Java, Scala, or Python; familiar with Kafka, Spark, ClickHouse, Doris, and similar tech.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, metadata, data governance, and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Research, ingestion, integration, cleansing, and servicing of financial market data across securities, real-time and historic data.
• Design scalable data models and frameworks for multiple markets, currencies, and identifiers.
• Build batch-stream data pipelines centered on Flink to optimize latency and throughput.
• Establish data quality, SLAs, monitoring, and automated reconciliation and backfill capabilities.
• Evaluate data sources with product, procurement, legal, and compliance teams to define usage boundaries.
• Define data semantics and contracts with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent stock facts.
• Drive data engineering efficiency with CI/CD, metadata, lineage, and task orchestration.
