Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers in a fully remote, hourly-contract role to help shape how AI understands and generates code. You will write, review, and refine AI-generated solutions across languages, identifying issues and providing clear, structured feedback.

Independent, flexible scheduling is a key part of the role. You will work on diverse problems, evaluate AI outputs for correctness and efficiency, and design prompts to challenge AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent practical experience acceptable.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across a range of languages, frameworks, and problem domains
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works - or doesn't
• Design challenging coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality
• Work independently and asynchronously - fully on your own schedule
