Job summary

Brighton College (Singapore) is seeking an experienced Relief Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role involves standing in for subject teachers and delivering engaging lessons in our independent school environment.

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years' relief teaching experience, hold a recognized Teaching Certification (QTS, PGCE / i-PGCE), and demonstrate flexibility across key stages with a proactive, student-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Minimal 3 years of experience in cover/relief teaching in independent school environment for children age 18 months to 12 years.
• Possesses relevant Teaching Certification recognised in International Teaching Climate (i.e. QTS, PGCE / i-PGCE).
• Subject specialization across key stages.
• Highly adept and adaptable individual with pro-active attitude and a passion for teaching children across a wide age range.

Responsibilities

• Stand in for teaching specific subjects except those taught by Senior school specialists according to school policies and schemes of work.
• Mark work appropriately and as immediately as possible in accordance with the marking policy, giving individual feedback and encouragement whenever possible.
• Duties such as lunch with the children and monitor lunchtime behaviour
• Liaise closely with the Deputy Head- Academic/ Pastoral and other staff regarding any children for concern.
