Job summary

VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC) invites a Senior Reliability Engineer to establish and lead the Reliability Test Laboratory in Singapore. You will drive qualification strategies, ensure JEDEC and customer requirements, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver robust IC reliability.

You will oversee CAPA programs, perform advanced statistical analyses, and mentor a high-performing team to continuously improve testing capability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline; a Master's or Ph.D. is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience, including significant expertise in Integrated Circuit process technology and Reliability Assurance, with proven leadership or management experience.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, failure mechanisms, wafer-level reliability, and reliability qualification methodologies.
  • Extensive experience with JEDEC reliability standards, qualification planning, reliability stress testing, and customer-specific reliability requirements.
  • Proven expertise in statistical data analysis, reliability modeling, Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Weibull analysis, and quality engineering methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in reliability risk assessment, root cause analysis, and implementation of effective corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple technology qualification programs simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging global customers and executive management on reliability strategy and qualification results.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop, and lead the Reliability Test Laboratory, ensuring operational excellence, laboratory capability expansion, and compliance with industry and customer standards.
  • Define, implement, and continuously optimize reliability qualification methodologies, test strategies, and laboratory processes to meet JEDEC, customer, and internal quality requirements.
  • Lead qualification planning and reliability assessments for technology transfers, new process introductions, and product qualifications, ensuring robust execution and timely completion.
  • Direct reliability qualification activities, monitor test progress, analyze results, and drive timely root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for identified reliability concerns.
  • Develop and maintain worldwide customer-specific reliability specifications, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and industry requirements.
  • Evaluate reliability risks associated with new technologies, process changes, materials, and customer products, providing technical recommendations and mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize advanced statistical analysis, reliability modeling, and quality engineering tools to identify reliability trends, predict product lifetime, and improve manufacturing robustness.
  • Collaborate with Process Integration, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Failure Analysis, Quality, Manufacturing, and Customer Engineering teams to resolve reliability issues and enhance product reliability.
  • Lead customer reliability reviews, technical discussions, audits, and qualification support activities, serving as the primary technical interface for reliability-related matters.
  • Establish laboratory KPIs, qualification metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, testing capability, turnaround time, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing reliability engineering team while fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
