Job summary

Novartis is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance on critical pharmaceutical plant equipment, including pumps, agitators, vessels, and piping systems. You will work in a highly regulated manufacturing environment and ensure GMP compliance.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, performing root-cause analysis, maintaining SOPs and CMMS records, coordinating with vendors, and driving continuous improvement through data-driven maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or technical field.
• Up to 5 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of pumps, agitators, vessels, piping systems, and industrial equipment.
• Strong problem-solving with structured, data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and analysis.
• Exposure to sterile or highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Drive asset reliability improvements through data-driven maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain GMP documentation, standard operating procedures, maintenance records, and compliance logs.
• Manage maintenance activities and work orders using SAP Plant Maintenance and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• Support equipment projects, commissioning activities, upgrades, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate vendors, safety requirements, and daily maintenance activities to ensure efficient site operations.
