Job summary

Tower Research Capital (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Reliability Engineer with a strong background in systematic/algorithmic trading to join our Singapore team.

The role focuses on maintaining and improving production systems used across order management and market data delivery, in collaboration with trading, risk and compliance teams. You will provide level 1–2 production support, help design reliable, self-correcting systems, and coordinate with brokers and exchanges as the primary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline is required.
• 8+ years of experience in the finance industry.
• Proficient in Python scripting and other scripting languages.
• Deep knowledge of Linux OS, kernel, scheduling and performance tuning.
• Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, routing, VLAN, multicast.
• Experience with SQL and MongoDB databases.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Order Management Systems and Market Data Delivery across exchanges and asset classes.

Job description

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Reliability Engineer, with a strong background from systematic/algorithmic trading industry to join the team in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Managing the widely-deployed Order Management Systems and Market Data Delivery Systems involving every major electronic exchange and asset class
• Working closely with trading teams, risk management, business management and compliance to understand their needs. Acting as the main coordinator to make sure all requirements are met and appropriate solution is setup in production accordingly
• Solving problems by providing level one and level two support for our production systems
• Contributing to the design and implementation of the support system to enhance reliability and self-correction
• Devising ways to architect and develop with other technical teams within core engineering
• Monitoring and reporting on the status and health of our systems
• Serving as the primary technical contact for brokers and exchanges
• Providing periodic after-hours coverage

Qualifications

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline
• At least 8 years of experience in the finance industry
• Proficient in Python scripting and/or other scripting languages such as Perl, Bash or Shell.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux OS, Kernel, scheduling, performance tuning
• Strong understanding of network concepts including TCP/IP, routing, VLAN, multicast.
