Job summary

OCBC’s Global Real Estate team in Singapore partners with leading developers, investors and funds to address financing, investment and strategic needs. You will work with senior decision-makers and product partners across corporate finance, debt markets and sustainable finance to originate solutions and drive growth.

You will manage relationships, assess credit risk, and apply financial modelling to evaluate transactions, while coordinating across functions to deliver a cohesive client

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in finance, accounting, economics, real estate or related field.
• Strong understanding of credit, risk, and financial metrics.
• Experience in investment banking, corporate finance or transaction advisory is preferred.

• Manage and deepen relationships with corporate and institutional real estate clients.
• Monitor portfolio performance, risks, and market developments, taking timely action.
• Maintain sound credit discipline and regulatory compliance.

Global Real Estate is a specialised industry coverage team within OCBC’s Corporate Banking business. We cover leading real estate developers, investors, funds and other institutional clients across their financing, investment and strategic needs.

You’ll work with senior client decision-makers and collaborate with product partners across corporate finance, investment banking, debt capital markets, structured finance, treasury and sustainable finance. This role offers the opportunity to apply your transaction experience to relationship management, originate solutions and contribute to the growth of OCBC’s real estate franchise.

What You Do

• Manage and deepen relationships with a portfolio of corporate and institutional clients in the real estate sector.

• Monitor portfolio performance, market developments and emerging risks, and take timely action where required.

• Maintain sound credit discipline and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, conduct and internal policy requirements.

• Develop a strong understanding of clients’ strategies, financial performance, capital structures and investment plans.

• Identify and originate opportunities across corporate lending, acquisition and development financing, structured finance, debt capital markets, corporate finance, treasury and other banking solutions.

• Coordinate internal resources and product specialists to deliver integrated solutions and a consistent client experience.

• Conduct financial modelling, valuation, cash-flow and sensitivity analyses to assess transaction feasibility and credit risks.

Who You Are

• You’ve a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Business or a related discipline.

• You’ve relevant experience in corporate banking, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory or institutional real estate.

• You bring at least three years of hands-on investment banking or corporate finance experience, with exposure to financial modelling, valuation, transaction structuring and deal execution.

• You’ve strong credit, financial and commercial judgement, with the ability to assess complex business and transaction risks.

• Experience covering real estate developers, REITs, private equity real estate funds, investment managers or institutional investors would be an advantage.

• You’re comfortable engaging senior client stakeholders and presenting clear, well-supported recommendations.

• You can originate ideas, manage several workstreams and drive transactions to completion.

• You work well across functions, products and geographies and can influence stakeholders without direct authority.

• You demonstrate high standards of integrity, risk ownership and professional conduct.

• CFA, CA, CPA or another relevant professional qualification would be an advantage.
