Job overview
As a Relationship Manager, you\'ll own the full client journey from the moment Marketing hands off a prospect, through account opening, first funding and first trade, to ongoing servicing, retention and reactivation. You\'ll be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of retail trading clients, working to maximize their lifetime value while ensuring every interaction reflects our regulatory and service standards.
Beyond day-to-day account management, you\'ll represent the company at premium client events, in-house seminars, trade fairs and financial expos, and you\'ll need to pass the relevant CMFAS exams to be appointed as a Licensed Representative.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Duties
- Oversee day-to-day flow across the sales funnel, resolve clients issues promptly, execute service recovery, monitor client satisfaction and drive Net Promoter Score.
- Identify and propose initiatives to improve sales efficiency, resilience and service quality.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring satisfaction with our products and services.
- Deliver against KPIs including sales conversion, first-time deposits, introductory calls, CBV and referrals.
Education
- Guide clients through our education programme, tailored to their trading experience and needs.
- Host in-house seminars and webinars.
- Collaborate with external educators and trainers.
Events
- Plan and manage roadshows, investment fairs, conferences and premium client events.
- Engage prospects and clients to drive referrals and new accounts.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Compliance and Client Service teams to align on operational strategy and service standards.
Qualifications and experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in any discipline.
- Meets MAS\'s Fit and Proper Criteria, including integrity, competence and regulatory reputation/history.
- Meets the eligibility criteria to be appointed as a Representative for CMS Licensees, including minimum academic qualification and examination requirements.
- Good understanding of the MAS regulatory environment, particularly when servicing and offering financial products to retail clients.
- Demonstrated experience in financial sales, with a focus on retail clients.
- At least 3 years of experience in financial services operations within MAS-regulated firms, preferably with exposure to products such as securities, OTC derivatives (including CFDs), collective investment schemes, and knock-out options.
- Experience in retail investments, trading and/or retail financial services.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience handling client complaints.
- High ethical standards and commitment to integrity and transparency.
- Resilient under pressure and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fintech, brokerage, asset management or capital markets.
- Knowledge of CRM and enterprise workflow systems.
- Demonstrated skill in building client relationships.
- Prior experience in a client servicing function.
