Job summary

Vanguard Healthcare Pte Ltd is seeking a Rehabilitation Manager to lead the rehab department and deliver high-quality rehabilitative services to residents in the care home.

You will oversee a multi-disciplinary team, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive staff development, training, and new programme initiatives to close service gaps.

Strong networking with stakeholders and effective communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy with registration.
• Postgraduate qualification preferred.
• At least 6–8 years of experience, including managerial experience in rehab services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a multi-disciplinary team including physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Allied Health Professional Council standards.
• Lead staff orientation, supervise development and training.
• Plan and conduct in-house training and implement new rehab techniques.
• Coordinate procuring other therapy services to meet resident needs.
• Identify new programmes and special projects to address service gaps.
• Analyse trends and adjust rehab services accordingly.
• Ensure smooth transition of residents through care continuum.

Job description

The Rehabilitation Manager provides leadership and effective management of the department to deliver the required level of rehabilitative healthcare services in accordance to the ENHS and the care model, to residents of the Care Home.

CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Oversee the multi-disciplinary team consisting of physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
• Responsible for the compliance of all therapist standards as stipulated by Ministry of Health and Allied Healthcare Professional Council
• Guide new staff; conducts orientation programmes; supervise and facilitate staff development.
• Plan and conduct in-house training, including the latest rehab therapy techniques and implement new techniques or procedures where appropriate.
• Plan and coordinate for the procurement of other therapy services to meet the rehabilitative service of the residents.
• Identify and implement new programmes for the residents and special projects to meet any service gaps.
• Analyse trends and changing needs of the residents in institutional settings. Plan rehab services and care based on changing trends.
• Operationalise and monitor the smooth transition of the residents from acute to chronic care and back to the community, where possible.
• Ensure service quality standard and cost-effective service are maintained and enhanced,
• where necessary.
• Ensure quality audits are planned and conducted periodically.
• Develop and maintain close working relationships with other agencies and organisations.
