Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory Pte Ltd is seeking an Optician for a retail eyecare role in Choa Chu Kang, Singapore. The position involves eye and vision tests, dispensing, prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses, and advising customers on eye care. You will also maintain prescriptions, orders and payments in a busy shop.

MOH registration as an Optician is mandatory; retail experience is a plus. The role requires a 5-day week, 9:30am–8pm, with weekends and public holidays work.

Qualifications

• Registered as Optician under the MOH Optometrists and Optician Board.
• Retail experience will be advantageous.
• Able to commit retail hours.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform eye and vision tests.
• Dispensing of eyewear and contact lenses.
• Provide professional advice and solutions to customers.
• Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Advise customers on proper eye care techniques.
• Maintain records of prescriptions, work orders and payments.
• Perform administrative duties such as inventory tracking and basic bookkeeping.
• Ensure smooth daily shop operations and adhoc duties.

Salary: $3100 -$3300

Job Description:

• Eye and vision tests
• Dispensing
• Provide professional advices and solutions to customers
• Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses
• Advise customers on proper eye care techniques
• Maintain records of customer prescription, work orders and payments
• Perform administrative duties such as tracking inventory and sales, submitting patient insurance information and performing simple bookkeeping
• Ensure smooth running of daily shop operations and adhoc duties

Requirements:

• Registered as Optician under the MOH Optometrists and Optician Board
• Retail experience will be advantage
• Able to commit retail hours
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays
