Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Regional Privacy Counsel to lead data privacy matters across the APAC region from Singapore. You will advise on cross-border data transfers, DPIAs/PIAs, and DPAs, while supporting IT, HR, and commercial teams in compliance with evolving laws.

The role requires 7–10 years of legal experience with at least 5 years in data privacy, licensure in an APAC jurisdiction, and deep knowledge of multiple regimes (PIPL, APPI, PDPA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert on data privacy laws across APAC jurisdictions.
• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Advise on cross-border data transfer mechanisms and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
• Monitor regulatory developments and update internal policies and procedures.
• Develop and deliver regional privacy training programs.
• Support privacy incident triage, investigation, and remediation.
