Job summary

ACCA Careers is partnering with a global healthcare and medical technology organisation to hire a commercially minded finance professional for a regional SEA payroll planning, budgeting and headcount management role.

You will lead payroll forecasting, develop reporting models, and collaborate with HR and business leaders across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan to drive workforce costs, productivity and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of payroll cost analysis, workforce planning, or headcount reporting in a multinational environment.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills for large datasets and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll forecasting, budgeting, and workforce planning across SEA markets.
• Maintain and enhance payroll reporting models for accuracy and efficiency.
• Partner with HR and business stakeholders to track employee movements and costs.
• Analyse payroll and headcount variances with commentary and recommendations.
• Support operating expense forecasting by integrating workforce costs.

Description

• Lead payroll forecasting, budgeting, and workforce planning activities across SEA markets
• Maintain and enhance payroll reporting models to improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making
• Partner closely with HR and business stakeholders to track employee movements and workforce costs
• Analyse payroll and headcount variances, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations
• Support operating expense forecasting by integrating workforce-related costs into financial planning processes
• Assist in business initiatives, inclusive of organisational changes, workforce expansion, and acquisition-related assessments
• Deliver management insights on payroll trends, productivity, and profitability to support commercial decisions

Profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of exposure to payroll cost analysis, workforce planning, headcount reporting, or employee-related financial data within a multinational environment
• Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to manage large and complex datasets
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner across finance, HR, and business functions
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
