Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a commercially minded finance professional to join a regional role supporting payroll planning, budgeting, and headcount management across Southeast Asia.

You will lead payroll forecasting, develop and maintain reporting models, and partner with HR and business leaders to analyse workforce costs and variances. This role offers exposure to senior finance leadership and strategic workforce initiatives across SEA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll cost analysis and workforce planning within a multinational.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience handling large datasets.
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll forecasting, budgeting, and workforce planning activities across SEA markets.
• Maintain and enhance payroll reporting models to improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making.
• Partner closely with HR and business stakeholders to track employee movements and workforce costs.
• Analyse payroll and headcount variances, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations.
• Support operating expense forecasting by integrating workforce-related costs into financial planning processes.
• Assist in business initiatives, including organisational changes, workforce expansion, and acquisition-related assessments.
• Deliver management insights on payroll trends, productivity, and profitability to support commercial decisions.

Description

• Lead payroll forecasting, budgeting, and workforce planning activities across SEA markets

Profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of exposure to payroll cost analysis, workforce planning, headcount reporting, or employee-related financial data within a multinational environment
• Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to manage large and complex datasets
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner across finance, HR, and business functions
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
