This role serves as the regional leader for Market Access, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), and Health Policy Strategy, ensuring access considerations are embedded across portfolio planning, launch readiness, and lifecycle management. In close partnership with the Global Value, Access & Outcomes (GVA&O) organization, you will ensure that global value and access strategies, evidence plans, value communications, and market access tools are effectively regionalized and localized to meet the unique reimbursement, HTA, healthcare policy, and stakeholder requirements across APAC markets.

You will collaborate extensively with regional and country leaders across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, and Commercial functions to drive integrated access strategies that enhance patient access and support the successful commercialization of the portfolio.

The ideal candidate combines deep market access expertise with structured problem-solving, analytical rigor, and strategic thinking.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive APAC market access strategy to maximize patient access and reimbursement across priority markets.
  • Serve as the regional market access thought leader, providing strategic guidance on reimbursement, funding, HTA, and healthcare policy trends.
  • Identify opportunities, risks, and emerging market dynamics that may impact access and commercial success.
  • Advise regional and global leadership on access implications for pipeline assets, launch planning, lifecycle management, and portfolio strategy.
  • Ensure market access considerations are integrated into strategic business planning across the region.
Funding and Reimbursement Leadership
  • Lead the development of regional funding and reimbursement strategies to support optimal patient access.
  • Partner with country market access teams to develop and execute market-specific reimbursement and funding plans.
  • Assess market access barriers and identify innovative approaches to improve patient access across APAC healthcare systems.
  • Establish regional best practices and frameworks to support reimbursement excellence and successful access outcomes.
  • Support launch readiness and lifecycle planning by ensuring reimbursement requirements are proactively addressed.
HTA and Evidence Strategy
  • Lead regional HTA strategy development to support reimbursement and funding decisions.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Global Value, Access & Outcomes teams to define evidence requirements and value demonstration strategies.
  • Guide the development and adaptation of value propositions, health economic evidence, real-world evidence strategies, and payer communication tools to meet local HTA requirements.
  • Monitor evolving HTA methodologies and evidence expectations across APAC markets and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Facilitate sharing of HTA and reimbursement best practices across markets to strengthen regional capabilities.
Health Policy Leadership and Policy Shaping
  • Monitor and assess healthcare policy developments, reimbursement reforms, funding mechanisms, and payer landscape changes across APAC.
  • Identify opportunities to shape the policy environment and improve patient access through proactive engagement and advocacy initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Government Affairs teams to support policy-shaping activities that advance sustainable patient access and healthcare innovation.
  • Provide strategic insights on policy trends and their implications for access, reimbursement, funding, and business objectives.
  • Contribute to long-term policy and access planning for priority therapeutic areas and pipeline assets.
Cross-Functional and Global Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary APAC Market Access partner to the Global Value, Access & Outcomes organization, leading the adaptation and implementation of global strategies and tools across the region.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, Commercial, HEOR, Regulatory, and country leadership teams to develop integrated access strategies.
  • Ensure alignment between global value and access priorities and local market needs, balancing consistency with market-specific requirements.
  • Provide regional insights and market expertise to support the successful implementation of reimbursement, HTA, and policy strategies.
  • Build strong partnerships across functions and geographies to drive alignment, decision-making, and execution in a complex matrix organization.
Leadership and Capability Building
