XING DA FOODSTUFF (S) PTE. LTD. seeks a dynamic General Manager (Agriculture) to lead market development across Malaysia, China and local markets. You will shape entry strategies, build key partnerships, and drive revenue growth in fresh produce trading and distribution.

The role requires a proven agribusiness track record, a strong regional network and Mandarin proficiency. Travel across the region will be frequent, offering a high-impact leadership position with competitive remuneration.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience in agribusiness, fresh produce trading, or regional wholesale distribution.
Strong regional network in Malaysia and/or China is highly preferred.
Proven track record in market expansion, client acquisition, and strategic partnerships.
Excellent negotiation, leadership, and cross-cultural communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute market entry and growth strategies in Malaysia, China and local markets for fresh produce trading.
Build and maintain relationships with farm owners, packing houses, importers, distributors, wholesale markets, and regulators.
Identify and onboard reliable suppliers and partners across the region to strengthen the supply chain.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and risks.
Collaborate with procurement, logistics, finance, and marketing to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Drive revenue growth, profitability, and brand presence in assigned markets.
Ensure compliance with import/export and food safety regulations in both countries.
