Job summary

Ciena Communications Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a strategic and analytical Regional FP&A Advisor to drive financial planning, performance management, and profitability for the region.

You will partner with regional leaders to align financial goals with business objectives, deliver insights via variance and scenario analyses, oversee budgeting and forecasting, and coach a high-performing finance team across geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive FP&A, financial strategy, or related roles, preferably in technology, networking, or telecommunications.
• Proven leadership experience managing regional or global FP&A functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools (Hyperion, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel/Power BI.
• Knowledge of revenue accounting concepts and predictive analytics using AI/tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the regional financial planning and analysis process, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
• Partner with regional leadership to align financial goals with business objectives, enabling sustainable growth and profitability.
• Deliver actionable insights through variance, trend, and scenario analyses to drive cost efficiency and margin optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial plans align with market dynamics and priorities.
• Ensure timely preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for regional and corporate stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Coach and develop the FP&A team across geographies to foster collaboration and accountability.
