Job summary

Abbott is seeking an APAC Regional Demand Planning Manager to lead the demand planning process across Asia Pacific, coordinating with country teams, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain to produce high-quality forecasts and drive business performance.

You will monitor forecast accuracy, identify risks and opportunities, and develop strategic scenarios to support decision-making in changing market conditions. Strong cross-functional partnership and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, engineering, analytics or related discipline.
• 7–10+ years of experience in demand planning, S&OP/IBP, or related field.
• Regional or multi-country planning experience preferred.
• Strong analytical capability with commercial understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead the APAC demand planning cycle across markets and product portfolios.
• Consolidate and review country forecasts with clear assumptions and drivers.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and root-cause variances; drive corrective actions.
• Provide insights on demand trends, risks, and opportunities to regional leadership.
• Develop scenarios to support decision-making under changing market or supply conditions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations to align plans.

The Opportunity

As the APAC Regional Demand Planning Manager, the APAC Regional Demand Planning Manager leads the demand planning process across Asia Pacific, ensuring high-quality, fact-based forecasts that support commercial decision‑making, supply planning, inventory management, and business performance. Working closely with country commercial teams, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Global Operations, the role goes beyond forecast consolidation to understand business drivers, challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and translate market insights into a robust regional demand outlook.

What You'll Do

• Lead the APAC demand planning cycle across markets and product portfolios.
• Consolidate and critically review country forecasts, ensuring changes are supported by clear assumptions, data, and business drivers.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, conduct root‑cause analysis of significant variances, and drive corrective actions.
• Identify demand trends, risks, and opportunities and provide clear insights to regional leadership.
• Develop scenarios to support decision‑making when market or supply conditions change.
• Build a strong understanding of market dynamics, customers, tenders, competition, product lifecycle, and commercial strategies.
• Partner with country commercial teams to translate market intelligence and sales activities into demand implications.
• Constructively challenge forecasts and assumptions where they are inconsistent with data or business fundamentals.
• Partner with Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to align demand, financial, inventory, and supply plans.
• Lead the regional demand review and represent APAC demand planning within the global Demand Planning review process.
• Clearly communicate key forecast changes, assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
• Establish consistent demand planning standards and governance across APAC.
• Coach country stakeholders on forecasting, analytical thinking, and demand planning best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, reporting, and data visibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, Analytics, or related discipline.
• 7–10+ years of relevant experience in demand planning, S&OP/IBP, supply chain planning, commercial planning, or business analytics.
• Regional or multi‑country planning experience strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical capability combined with demonstrated commercial understanding.
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or similar analytics experience preferred.
• Healthcare, diagnostics, medical device, pharmaceutical, or other complex multi‑market industry experience is advantageous.
