BUHLER ASIA PRIVATE LIMITED in Singapore seeks a regional Finance Director to oversee all financial operations across the region, including budgeting, accounting, treasury and reporting.

The role emphasizes driving monthly results, planning cycles, securing favorable contract terms, safeguarding working capital, and building high-performance teams while aligning finance with project and sales needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic advice to the Head of Region to grow the region's activities profitably.
• Oversees all financial operations and activities in the region, including budgeting, accounting and financial reporting, treasury and cashflow planning, financial planning, analysis and forecasting, investment and company performance management.
• Drives a comprehensive business monthly results review and planning process, including Forecasts, Annual Operating Plan, and Long-Range Plan that are supportive of regional business planning cycles.
• Safeguards adequate commercial terms in customer contracts and transactions, including financing solutions, payment terms, and other key contractual terms, by guiding the local commercial teams, liaising with Group expert departments, and by directly engaging with key customers on specific contracts.
• Ensures proper financing, cash flow & net working capital management for all entities in the region
• Establishes and oversees processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information.
• Ensures high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules
• Represents the company locally (focusing on external representation, including local authorities, multi-lateral organization, banks) and actively manages partnerships and external stakeholders within the sphere of Finance.
• Builds high performance teams across the region via coaching and technical development. Develops key talents and actively drives their professional and personal development by enabling adequate exposure to new challenges both within the Region and across the Buhler Group.
• Aligns finance & accounting operations to support projects, sales orders on onetime set up and ongoing support that meets business requirements and ensure compliance with all reporting and legal requirements.
• Builds up the necessary controlling, financial and commercial knowledge across the legal entities in the region to ensure that current growth path is funded and sustainable, operation risk effectively mitigated
• Oversees risk management to ensure consistency of policy across the businesses (where applicable) by supporting legal document reviews (e.g. customer contracts, suppliers & partnership agreement, credit assessment) and processes in line with global policies and standards to minimize commercial and financial risks and exposure.
• Ensures strong Corporate Governance and compliance to corporate policies, procedures, local statutory and local accounting and reporting standards.
