Regional Airfreight Procurement Leader

Job summary

WEcruit Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a senior procurement leader to drive regional airfreight sourcing across South Asia, Southeast Asia and Oceania. You will build and govern carrier partnerships, manage RFQs and long-term agreements, and optimise capacity and pricing to meet business goals.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong vendor management and ability to coordinate with regional offices and finance. Enterprise-level procurement experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional airfreight procurement activities across South Asia, Southeast Asia and Oceania in line with commercial and business objectives.
• Manage strategic partnerships with airlines, GSAs and other carrier partners to support reliable capacity and competitive commercial solutions.
• Manage regional RFQs, procurement exercises, contract negotiations, renewals and annual rate reviews.
• Negotiate rates, capacity commitments and space allocations across key trade lanes to support business requirements.
• Oversee commercial arrangements including long-term agreements, BSAs, CPAs, ad hoc rates and tactical capacity solutions.
• Track market developments, airline network changes, capacity availability and pricing movements to support informed procurement decisions.
• Evaluate supply and demand trends across major trade lanes and identify opportunities to optimise procurement outcomes.
• Develop proactive capacity and contingency plans for peak periods, market disruptions and critical operational requirements.
• Ensure airline partners deliver against agreed commercial, capacity and service commitments and address performance gaps where required.
• Identify and implement procurement initiatives that improve cost competitiveness, margins, yield and carrier utilisation.
• Strengthen regional procurement governance and promote consistent processes, controls and practices across markets and business units.
• Establish and maintain carrier performance scorecards and KPIs covering savings, capacity utilisation, service quality and operational performance.
• Lead regular business reviews with key airline partners and coordinate follow-up actions to address performance and commercial priorities.
• Provide procurement support for major customer tenders and commercial opportunities by developing competitive carrier solutions.
• Work closely with country Airfreight teams, overseas offices, gateway operations, Finance and Management on budgets, procurement plans and strategic initiatives.
