Job summary

SINGAPORE REFINING COMPANY PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation and electrical systems at our refinery.

You will read single-line diagrams, update drawings, ensure SWP/HSE compliance, and carry out LV/HV switchboard work; candidates with EMA license and 3+ years in refinery preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or NITEC in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in an oil refinery/petrochemical plant; EMA license preferred.
• Candidates without relevant experience may be considered for entry-level positions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine, preventive and corrective maintenance on instruments and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair control valves, transmitters, switchgear, motors and analysers.
• Read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams and schematics.
• Update and maintain electrical drawing documentation.
• Ensure Electrical Safety, HSE and SWP compliance at all times.

Job description

• Carry out routine, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of instrument, analyser and electrical equipment & system, e.g. control valve, transmitters, switchgear control, motors, GC, boiling point, freeze point and flash point analyser, etc.
• Troubleshoot critical electrical equipments such as UPS, DC Charger, LV/HV switchgears
• Execute assembly, wiring and termination works on LV/HV switchboard
• Read and interpret electrical single line and schematics diagram
• Update and maintain electrical drawing documentation
• Ensure that all Electrical Safety, HSE and Safe Work Procedure (SWP) are followed

Requirements

• Diploma or NITEC in a relevant Engineering discipline OR
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in an oil refinery/ petrochemical plant, preferably with EMA license
